BiH Presidency Members received the USA Deputy Secretary of State, William Burns
The USA Deputy Secretary of State expressed support and dedication of the USA to progress of BiH on its Euro-Atlantic path. He particularly highlighted that the forming of BiH Council of Ministers is an ideal opportunity for BiH to continue fulfilling obligations with regards to the Membership Action Plan. He also expressed expectations that further progress will be made in solving the question of military property before NATO Summit takes place in Chicago. He pointed out that the United States of America support the states of the Western Balkans on the path of Euro-Atlantic integrations and that the USA are firmly devoted to the European future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As it was said, this visit was an opportunity for the support of the USA to BiH's progress and prosperity to be expressed, but also for the stability of the Western Balkans. The support is given to the Government forming as well as gratitude for the ongoing contribution and participation of BiH soldiers in the ISAF mission.
BiH Presidency Members pointed out that there is a consensus within BiH Presidency with regards to European integrations, as the primary multilateral BiH Foreign Policy priority. They thanked for the continuous support and devotion of the USA to BiH, as evidenced by today's visit. They in particular thanked for the support given to the reform processes in BiH, and said that the visit of the USA Deputy Secretary of State to this region is a sign of the strong support to the states of the Western Balkans on their path towards the Euro-Atlantic integrations.
