BiH Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović received in a closing visit the Head of EUPM Stefan Feller, over the closing of the EU Police Mission in BiH
BiH Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović thanked Mister Feller for all that the EUPM has done in the last ten years for BiH. He highlighted that, after a long lasting assistance from the EUPM, the community responsible for the execution of laws in BiH is much more capable to do its job.
Commissioner Feller highlighted that BiH has made a step forward since the UN mission in BiH to the mission of managing civil crises, and finally to the process of fulfilling the application for the membership in the EU.
“We leave from BiH convinced that we have accomplished the aims and wish our long term partners and friends much success in their future activities”, said Mister Feller.
At the end of this warm and cordial meeting, Chairman Izetbegović was interested in the possibilities for continuing cooperation with the EU in the field of security. The need for the speeding of the EU integration process, when our country is concerned, was particularly highlighted.
