BiH Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović received Minister of State for European Affairs of Ireland, Lucinda Creighton

The Irish Minister is in a bilateral visit to Bosnia And Herzegovina, as the representative of the Chairman of the OSCE and the representative of the state to be the next presiding the EU.

It was talked about the current situation in BiH and the region, particularly in the context of European integrations and expectations for BiH and the states of the region to join the EU in the period ahead.

The Irish Minister of State expressed pleasure with her visit to BiH and welcomed the initiation of a dialogue at the high level meeting on the process of BiH accession to the EU which was recently held in Brussels. Moreover, she promised further assistance of the EU and the OSCE. She expressed her optimism in expecting BiH to submit the candidateship application for the EU membership this year, when Ireland takes over the EU presiding.

 BiH Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović thanked the Minister of State for European Affairs for the visit and support Ireland, the EU and the OSCE are giving to BiH on the path of further progress.

The meeting was attended by the advisor to BiH Presidency Member Nebojša Radmanović, Ljubiša Ćosić and the advisor to BiH Presidency Member Željko Komšić, Davor Vuletić.
