BiH Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović received Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Kazuyuki Hamada
In a cordial and friendly meeting, a particular attention was paid to the bilateral relations of the two friendly states, as well as the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. The interlocutors agreed that it is particularly important to create a continuous process of agreement of the relevant political subjects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Vice-Minister Hamada expressed the support of Japan to the efficient dialogue in the region of South East Europe. He offered assistance of his country to Bosnia and Herzegovina on sharing experience related to information technology, tourism, educational systems and agricultural production. He also thanked for the help which Bosnia and Herzegovina sent to the citizens of Japan in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident which hit Japan last year.
BiH Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović thanked for the overall support which Japan has been offering to our country over the years. He marked that this support has significantly helped our country. He expressed pleasure with the speedy recovery of Japan after the last year's disaster.
Chairman Izetbegović reiterated the expectation that this year, Bosnia and Herzegovina will more speedily step into the process of Euro-Atlantic integrations. Furthermore, he expressed readiness to make additional effort in that context.
