Welcoming the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India to Bosnia and Herzegovina, with residence in Budapest, Kumar Tuhin, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, highlighted the fact that the two friendly countries share a wealth of diversity: religious, ethnic and cultural.

Chairman Željko Komšić also emphasized that the Republic of India is a large
country, not only in its geographical characteristics but also in its strong
economic expansion, especially in the field of information technology. In this
regard, BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić said he expected that the
cooperation of the Republic of India and Bosnia and Herzegovina in this
important global industry will develop in the future to mutual benefit of the
two countries. This applies in particular to the education of IT professionals
from BiH through scholarships from the Indian Government.
Ambassador of the
Republic of India to Bosnia and Herzegovina Kumar Tuhin stressed that Indian
companies have an interest in investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The interlocutors
agreed that the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of India in Bosnia and
Herzegovina would increase the scope of cooperation in all areas of importance:
economy, science, culture and tourism.
The interlocutors
assessed that easing the visa regime would intensify cooperation between the
two countries on political, economic and cultural levels.
