It was talked about the political situation in BiH and Romania, the conditions in the region of the Western Balkans in the context of accession to the European Union, as well as the bilateral relations of the two countries.

Ambassador Teodorescu expressed strong support of Romania to BiH on its path towards the membership in the EU, and a hope that the conditions will soon be fulfilled from the 'Road Map' which would mean that the conditions would be met for the accomplishment of this process.

BiH Presidency Member from the Republika Srpska Radmanović expressed pessimism with regards to the realisation of the set conditions in the agreed deadline, and particularly the changes to the Constitutions regarding the implementation of the 'Sejdić-Finci' Ruling.  He pointed out that at the meeting of the Commissioner Fule with the representatives of the executive power and leaders of the political parties in BiH, a wrong estimate was clearly made regarding the time necessary for the accomplishment of the objectives.  He highlighted that the political situation in the country has been further worsened by anti-constitutional action of certain high officials, and that it is not realistic to expect progress on this plan within these circumstances, until the local elections in BiH are held.

Ambassador informed BiH Presidency Member from the RS Nebojša Radmanović about the current situation in Romania in the light of the Constitutional Court Decision regarding the referendum on the impeachment of President Băsescu.

The interlocutors stated that the relations between BiH and Romania are at a high level, and expressed pleasure with the increase of trade exchange of the two countries, concluding that there is space for further improvement of cooperation in the economic field. A mutual readiness was expressed for intensifying contacts at all levels, with an aim of further strengthening the cooperation between BiH and Romania.
