Dr Denis Bećirović
emphasized the importance of the OIC Resolution adopted in 2011 at the 39th
session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC in Astana, which invited
members of this body to mark July 11 as a Day of Mourning. This call was additionally
emphasized at the 48th regular session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of
the OIC in Islamabad in 2022, when the Resolution on Bosnia and Herzegovina was
adopted. That is why it is very important that all OIC countries vote for the
resolution on Srebrenica and not support the anti-civilization policy of some
leaders of the neighbouring Republic of Serbia, stressed Dr Bećirović.
Iranian Ambassador Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman said that Iran supports the
independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
as well as the coexistence of all nations. Furthermore, on this occasion, he
condemned the genocide committed in Srebrenica in 1995.
Also, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr Denis
Bećirović and Iran's ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Abuzar Ebrahimi
Torkaman, noted that relations between the two countries are traditionally
good.
