On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the 505th Knights' Mountain Brigade, Dr Bećirović paid tribute to one of the heroes of the defence of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose courage, determination and sacrifice left an indelible mark on the history of our homeland.

Izet Nanić was one of the most prominent military commanders in the 1992-1995
defence and liberation war. Under the leadership of General Izet Nanić, the
505th Knights' Mountain Brigade became synonymous with defence, military
discipline and moral strength in the most difficult war circumstances.
As
part of the event "Freedom Days of the Knightly Town of Bužim 2025",
Member of the Presidency of BiH Dr Denis Bećirović will address the closing
ceremony in Bužim tonight on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the 505th
Knights' Mountain Brigade.
