During the meeting, memories of the period in which the then communist authorities in a politically framed trial decided to accuse a numer of Muslim intellectuals for organising a group which had had the intention to bring down the existing order were evoked.

As it is known, this process was finalised in such a way that the accused intellectuals were pronounced guilty and were sentenced to prison for the duration ranging from five months to fifteen years. All the accused, whose sentence had still been in force, were liberated in 1988, and who, after the fall of communism, became politically active and were the carriers of democratic changes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
