Good and friendly bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Saudi Arabia were stated, and mutual interest for improvement of economic relations were highlighted.
During the meeting with Chairman Izetbegović, prince Sultan bin
Salman pointed out that there is a significant room for cooperation between the
two states in the field of tourism. He also highlighted a great interest of
business people from Saudi Arabia for investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chairman Izetbegović used an opportunity to thank Saudi Arabia for
the help it was offering to Bosnia and Herzegovina during the aggression, and
in postwar reconstruction. He conveyed special greetings to King Salman who,
during that period, personally looked after the work of the Saudi High Committee
for Aid to BiH.
Prince Sultan bin Salman reminisced about his first visit to
Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2000 when he visited with his father, now Saudi King
Salman.
Prince Sultan bin Salman was a pilot of military and civil
airplanes, and as a member of international crew in 1985 he flew into space as
part of the Discovery mission. Today he heads the High Committee for Tourism
and Cultural Heritage of Saudi Arabia.
